The ceramics part of Amo D’Italia isn't just business; it's a living tribute to our grandfather, Pasquale. His incredible life story, fueled by skill and an unwavering vision, is the very heart of this company.
It all kicked off in Rutigliano, Italy, throughout the 1940s and early 1950s. His pottery workshop wasn't just open, it was thriving. Pasquale’s hands, guided by generational skill, made beautiful pieces that were cherished across the region.
But he felt an undeniable pull toward America. Imagine the sheer bravery it took: he sold his entire successful Italian life and embarked on an epic, transcontinental journey.
His travels took him first to Argentina, and then he found himself high in the stunning mountains of Venezuela. With nothing but his talent, he started over. He built a new pottery business that became genuinely famous. It was during that second wave of success that the iconic photo of him in his workshop was taken, a shot so popular, it was even featured on a calendar!
He was patiently waiting for his moment. Finally, in the late 1950s, he got his chance. He sold his second successful business and made the final leap to the United States. Here, he and his four sons continued their passion in the pottery and printing industries. Pasquale’s journey, mastering his craft across three countries, is a powerful testament to chasing a dream.

Our Commitment to Authenticity
Pasquale and his family’s Italian heritage - their dedication to craft, quality, and community, is why Amo D’Italia exists today. This deep family history is our guiding principle, since we started our first business in 2004. We believe that just as Pasquale's pottery was authentic to his Italian roots, our products must be authentic to ours. That is why our business proudly offers only authentic Italian food and products, ensuring every item carries the same integrity and tradition as the ceramics that inspired us.
