This Pici Pasta from Italy is handmade with durum wheat semolina from Tuscany, it is thicker than spaghetti, but thinner than a pencil, is quite dense and absorbs sauces well to give a more succulent and full-bodied flavor to your cooking. Morelli pasta is unusual as it includes the semolina of the wheat in the pasta in order to create a beautifully flavored heirloom wheat pasta with a rich, nutty bite.
Pici Pasta di Semola di Grano Duro is made with durum wheat that is high in protein, making this artisanal pasta a great way to get more protein and stay full for longer. Used in classic Italian dishes with a touch of olive oil, or in more complex meals such as meat ragu, pici pasta nests are highly versatile.
Morelli has been creating gourmet Italian pasta in Tuscany since 1860 and is a family-run company with the 5th generation currently preserving the traditions their ancestors put into place. They utilize an artisanal method of reincorporating wheat germ into semolina to create many of their pastas with a unique taste and the aroma of wheat.
